If you've ever been to London Film and Comic Con, or if you have seen pictures from the event then one thing you'll have noticed is people who dress up for the occasion.

The Cosplay Zone is back bigger and better than ever! Not only do we have the masquerade on each day with a massive prizes for each winner, but we also have a series of cosplay talks and presentations on stage and displays! If that was not enough there's the Talent Show, The Skit Show, themed cosplay days, a photography area, a chillout area for meets, cosplay displays, and much more!
Cosplay (derived from the words Costume and Play, now meaning 'to dress up') has become a major feature at London Film and Comic Con and to celebrate this we have a number of great events lined up for the Cosplayers out there!
Cosplay Masquerade!
The Masquerade is taking place on Saturday and Sunday at 3.00pm on the second stage. This is the event where you can show off your costume to the public and compete to win some great prizes! Cosplay Skit Show
We will be running a separate skit-show for cosplayers to perform to the audience! Note that staff have the right to stop a skit at any time if it becomes inappropriate. The maximum skit length is three minutes for an individual entry and four minutes for a group. Acts should last no longer than three minutes and if you want to use any music, please send it in advance.

You can register via the forum until 3 days prior to the show and on the day of the event, between 10am and 2pm at the Cosplay Desk. Entries will NOT be accepted without reference picture (with the exception of Original creations). Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis so please book or arrive early to avoid disappointment!
Cosplay Talks
There will be a full schedule of talks for 2013 to be announced soon. But to give you an idea talks last year included:
Beginners Props Panel - Need a prop for your costume and don't know where to start? This is a great guide for anyone starting out making props, and even a good time for people who have experience and want to learn what other materials are out there. Includes a Q&A at the end so if you have a prop you're thinking of making you can get some specific advice.
Make up Special Effects - This workshop will show you techniques for make up special effects. It will cover ways to make things like scars and tattoos, how to use body paint and some cool things on blood and gore!
Steampunk Guide - This panel will cover information about what Steampunk is (and isn’t!), where it came from, and most importantly- how to do it! Includes advice for where to find inspiration, where to get items, and how to make things yourself. Also includes advice for anyone thinking of making a Steampunk character- where to start and how to develop one further.
Cosplay Chillout & Groups
Come take a seat, chill-out and get to know fellow cosplayers. As always, we will have supplies in case you have to make any last-minute alterations or repairs to your costume. Expect to also see numerous prop displays as well.
This is also a great place for your cosplay group to meet up. If you are looking to arrange a cosplay group, please use our cosplay forum here to do so. Just make a topic which the group idea you have in mind, or reply to other existing topics.
Facilities for Cosplayers
Full changing and cloakroom facilities will be available to all cosplayers attending Collectormania London. Male and female changing rooms will be available, as well as a cloakroom.
